|
|
Hello
My Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB ST31000340AS is refusing to do anything and I think it's new PCB time. Does anybody have one available? The details of mine are as follows:
S/N: 9QJ0MYTE
Model: ST31000340AS
P/N: 9BX158-568
Firmware: SD81
Date Code: 08463
Site Code: KRATSG
Product of Thailand
It was originally housed in a Maxtor Basics 1TB USB 2.0 external hard drive with a separate power supply that worked fine up until recently when the green led started flashing intermittently and it was no longer being recognised by my Vista laptop.
Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks |

If your HDD spin up, that's not a PCB problem.
Thanks

Sorry, forgot to mention that it's not spinning up or making any noises when it's connected to a power supply. I've tried it in a different PC and in a different enclosure and nothing happens. I took the drive to a PC repair shop and the guy there said it was most likely that the PCB was dead. I've tried everything that I can think of and a faulty PCB seems to be the most likely case unfortunately. |
