My Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST3160023A 8.01 clicks. I changed out the PCB for a similar part, but no change in behavior. The weird thing is that plugging it into another computer (with either board) as the secondary drive PREVENTS the good primary drive from being recognized at boot up with either board. If I unplug this bad drive, computer runs OK. Anyone encountered this problem before? My goal is to eventually recover the data. Thanks.

You'll have to send that off for recovery unless you dare to go inside...
