Hello, I am from Athens, Greece.My drive's motor controller is dead and I need an identical and functional hard disk.
A circuit board was found but the heads were damaged from the burnt PCB...

The label on top of the drive reads:
MDL: WD1600JS-19NCB1
DATE: ** JAN 2006
DCM : DSCANT2AA
(these are found in a frame under the S/N)

The barcode label on the underside of the SATA connector reads:
2061-701335-Β00 AF
(this is the PCB part number)

The "donor" drive must have these:
WD P/N: WD1600JS-****B1
DCM : DSCANT2AA
*=don't care?

SATA Barcode Sticker: 2061-701335-Β00 AF

If you have such a drive (build date between January and September 2006), with same DCM code,
but are not sure whether it is suitable or not, email me your WD P/N,DCM,PCB P/N label (or email me a photo of these) at d3adrv3@yahoo.com.
I need the drive delivered by air in Athens Greece to get
my data back as soon as possible.I am more than willing to pay all transportaion fees.

As this is for data recovery,I do not mention any prices.If you have one with the same DCM I am sure we can reach an agreememt for the price and the payment way.

I saw your post--

I am looking for the same PCB (2061-701335-B00 AF), but my dead drive is a WD1600JS-75NCB1 made in DEC 05. If you have found a good PCB to use and are done with it, I'd gladly pay you to ship it to me so I can try it with my drive. Thanks!
