Hello,
after I could recover 2 or more harddrives with ddrescue, I have one here with a bigger problem.
It's a 2.5" ide.
I boot my linux box, tail - f /var/log/dmesg and put it on my usb connector.
The USB controller works - I have tested the controller with another hdd.
There is absolutely nothing happening.
No noise from the hdd, no message in the dmesg.
The power led on the controller turns on.
There is no visible damage on the controllerbord on both sides.
What should I try?
I think only the controller board is bad, as it should throw someting in dmesg after connecting (I must try this, but am not at home at the moment).
Just to learn something, can I use such a tty adaptor to find out something?
It hast 4 additional connectors.
