Hi experts,
I have a Seagate 7200.11 Barracuda 1TB HDD that was part of a FreeAgent Desktop USB External.
A few days ago the drive stopped being recognized by Windows.
The drive will spin up, make that 'click" noise, and sounds fine, but it will not recognize itself at all.
I tried it on Win7, WinXp, and MAC OSx, nothing. The drive does not get recognized at all.
I took it out of the enclosure and tried it on a Vantec Nexstar HDD USB Dock, same results.
I put it into the SATA on a desktop PC and the BIOS will not recognize the HDD there, either.
It may be the BSY bug, not sure, but the serial # isn't part of the affected firmware groups.
Either way, I don't have the time or skill to attempt the fix.
Any recommendations on a US-Based Pro for recovery?
Thanks in advance. |
