|
|
Not too long ago my hard drive died with lots of valuable files and sensitive data stored in it like social security numbers and bank accounts. At first I called repair shops and they quoted somewhere between $200 to a $1000 depending on the damage. So I decided to search the Internet to see if I could learn how to recover data from it myself. After 3 days of searching I only got more confused because of so much conflicting answers from different postings and forums. One thing everyone agreed on was that I could risk having shop technicians take advantage of my data and I could never trace it back to them or even know about it. So I decided to set the drive aside and live without my precious files until a friend of mine told me about this solution:
http://www.solutionauctions.com/Buy_Hard_Drive_Recovery__199_Solutions_to_access_your_dead_hard_drive__in_Buy_Solutions_Computers/7217/#ask-seller
The price was $5 and it belonged to a forensic data expert with FBI work experience. So of course I had to try it. After sending payment via paypal and instantly downloading the solution file I got a .pdf with a list of 199 things to do. I quickly scanned the top 10 items and saw one that looked unusual but rather practical. It said to place the dead drive in a sandwich bag, take the air out and put it in a freezer for 24 hours then take it out and power it up right away. The claim was it would give me about 15 minutes working time to recover my data before dying again. It worked just as described!

This is just a crap. Freezing your drive will damage it more than its already is. _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |

I think you are missing the point here completely. Sounds like you did not bother to read my posting and just jumped into a conclusion!
I have already tried this and it worked perfectly. I recovered all my data by freezing it.
FYI: a lot of times the problem with hard drives is due to mechanical wear and tear. Parts made of rubber specifically expand a bit when they wear out. Freezing makes those parts shrink a bit in size and contract which allows for temporary functioning.
Know your facts next time you decide to jump the gun and call something crap. |

I am not missing a point here.
I am the one with many years of experience, but you either lucky one or just trying to promote a book sale.
Little knowledge is scarier than no knowledge at all.
FYI: There is no rubber parts that is involved in reading your data at all.
Taking coincidence and presenting it as a fact - is crap.
If you really want to prove something, tell me which part on your drive failed and how exactly freezing it made it work.... _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |

At first you said freezing will damage it more. Now you say I must have gotten lucky. Sounds to me like you don't know your stuff because you are contradicting yourself. Judging by your poor grammar (This is just a crap) and how quickly you jump into conclusions, disrespecting others + your big ego thinking you know everything yet showing the contrary my guess is you are probably a low educated, low income technician who is miserable and live in Redneck city somewhere.
As such you are not worth the time to argue with. Go get a college degree first then learn how to write better and respect others... |

How am I contradicting myself? By saying you might be lucky getting your data after you have frozen your drive? No, I don't even think you had done it, must be promoting sales of your product.
You must be very educated to miss a city I live in and picking my grammar skills and making grammar mistakes yourself.... _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |

There are hundreds of documented success stories online about freezing your drive and recovering data.
Here is one example I found real quick:

You call this documented?
Besides pictures and someone's guess or opinion/s, there is nothing documented in that story.
I never had a problem with employment, unlike some other people who is looking to rip people off by selling them useless info. _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |
