This Hard Drive is from a My Book External hard drive. Put the wrong power court on, and started seeing some smoke. My IT guy took hard drive out, plugged it into the server (we thought it could have been one of the circuits that is added for the My Book's), and it started to smoke at the power source on the PCB. He recommended that I get a replacement PCB.

This is what I found on the hard drive and PCB. If I am missing some information or numbers, let me know:

Model: WD1600JB-00REA0
Date: 01 DEC 2006
DCM: HBCHNTJCAN

PCB Info:
2061-701292-C00

Thanks in advance! This drive has all of our saved family pictures. If this does not work, then it is off to the recovery company, and around $1500 out of pocket.

Please upload a detailed photo of the component side of your PCB. Often the repair is as simple as removing a shorted TVS diode.
