Two days ago windows started giving me a corrupt file or data error when trying to access our backup drive. I rebooted and all was well until the next day, same thing happened, but not i cant get to the drive anymore. Running spinrite and HDD Regen show every sector as being bad. I dont see how that could of happened overnight. Would changing the PCB fix this or will it need to goto a recovery service? Thanks for the help |

Unfortunately new PCB won't help you.
I would recomend taking it to data recovery company, because the cost of recovery might be low at the moment.
I would not recommend taking it to a computer repair shop, because they usually make it worth.

You will be lucky if you could retrieve all your data. I have passed the scenario like you and could get 75% data. Good Luck _________________ ניוזלטר
