I have a Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 160Gb drive that just stopped working. No noise, clicks, or odd sounds. I think (hope) that it is just the PCB and I'm looking for a replacement.

I have a 200Gb 7200.9 drive but the firmware is about 3 revisions later (3.aah) so I don't think it'll work.

I still need to go buy a set of torx bits before I start swapping boards.
Any chance I'll cause problems by trying the 200Gb drive's board?

Thanks for any tips or leads on finding the right PCB!

Does your 160GB drive spins up?

No, no spin up or any sound. It worked just fine one day and the next, nothing. It was in an external enclosure but the case is fine because I've swapped other drives into it and they work. Just the one drive does nothing.
