Hi all,
I've not seen very many success stories, and unfortunately mine was not one either, but I want to thank Harddrivespecialist for the help provided to me.
they helped me with figuring out shipping/payment, provided the right parts, did the u12 chip replacement, shipped back to me in record time, and then helped me figure out why my drive still wasn't working.
In the end it is not worth the cost to save MY drive - but do not let that stop you from trying.
I recommend HardDriveSpecialist to anyone that needs help here in the U.S. If my data had been worth it, I would have shipped my drive to HDS and paid the full price for recovery, but alas it is only personal music, pictures, and stories - not worth the price.
I also want to say thank you for this website - it has been invaluable in helping me.
