Hi everyone this is my first post so please be gentle!!

Accidentally plugged my laptop lead into my Ext HDD and frazzed it, took the case off and saw that I've fried a component on the Controller card. Details of the drive are;

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1000 Gbytes
S/N - 3Q07JX9
ST31000340AS
P/N: 9BX158-568
Firmware - SD35
Date Code: 08376
Site Code: AMKSPR
+5V 0.065A
+12V 0.6A

Any help with repair or supply of a new card or even a whole new drive for sale to swap over would be greatly appreciated. I've tried all the usual channels but this seem to be a hard to get hold of part.

first of all, get scan your board.
Can you describe behavior of the drive?
