You are very fortunate it was that simple; not an every day occurence I can promise.
95% of the time if PCB swap is required on modern HDD, then you will need to transfer the adaptives that are stored in the ROM as well, which is getting more difficult because they are storing these adaptives inside the MCU, which is tricky to solder, and if the CPU is cooked then your really up the creek! |
