Well, after three years of hairpulling and screaming, my hewlett packard ze4427 pavilion laptop went to that junkyard in the sky. It had always been trouble, four months after I bought it had to reformat the hard drive. That was three years ago. Since then it would freeze on me, web pages closed and opened on their own, music files wouldn't play, constant error messages and finally this week I emailed those yahoos at HP for help. I got help alright. They didn't address the problem only told me to re-install the operating system. Did that, nothing worked. Finally in desperation did a full system recovery. THAT FRIED THE HARD DRIVE. IT COULDN'T FIND IT AND THEN THIS AWFUL WHEEZY SCREECHING SOUND. THE KISS OF DEATH FROM MY HARD DRIVE. I EMAILED HP AND THEY WERE UNSYMPATHETIC. TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THEM 295 TO FIX IT!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! No sorrys, no nothing. I don't think i can fix it and truth be told it wasn't a great computer to begin with. I'm both sad and angry. I don't think it's worth salvaging. Saved some files..not all. Total loss.....any words of comfort from anyone? I also told HP what they could go and do with it and themselves.
