My system was working fine with two sata hard drives, one wd 74gb sata, other 250 wd sata. I have a new mb intel dg965wh, I needed more
hard drive, so I installed a pci contoler card for a old ata hd I had. Well, the system would not even boot until I removed the card. Then when I
tried to boot, no operating system found. I have not been able to bring up my two sata hd in the bios. Removed both hd's and tried in another pc, I cannot even get the drives to spinup. One question, can I mix two sata hd's and one ata drive using the same ps. I saw a flash on one drive when I turned the power on. I think it shorted out both circuits boards. The sata ps used the smaller connectors while the ata used the standard connector. I have a volt meter . So another question ,any voltage checks
I could make to determine if my circutboards are gone. |
