hello guys, could u pls tell me why to remove platters I need a platter remover tool ?
Is there any way to remove the platters without any tool and without damaging the hd ?

If the HDD is single platter most of the time you do not need a tool, but it is still risky.
For two platters and above you need a tool. This is because platters have to keep alignment. If they move even a micron your data is lost. |
