A friends 1200BB PCB has all the signs of burnout. After research I learned this drive is pretty famous for these PCB burns.
Multiple PCB points are dark if not black. Hard drive does nothing when plugged in. I had a board that almost matched from one of my personal drives, but not exactly it. Drive spun up but since it wasn't exactly correct, I got no recognition from my computer. At least I know its not mechanical!
