as suggested by another member,i'll try to descrive which is the problem and later post some photos of the pcb.here's what:i used these two hd externally, with two cables, and i left them in table, but one day while i was cleaning they both fell down on the floor.in one of them, one of the black"caps" that's on the board, its similar to a liquorice pill,i don't know the name or for what it is,popped out,and i think i would've needed a micro welder to weld it back in place.as for the other one,i think its somethingrelated to the power source slot,as i doesn't even hear the "boot" spinnng sounce when i plug it into the power cable, but i'm sure its the pcb board, not the hd itself,as a friend of mine tried the same with another pcb boarde has,and works fine |

I can't see your picture, either. The link sends me to a login page. :-(
Anyway, if you need to purchase a PCB, try the following vendor:
http://www.onepcbsolution.com/
His price is US$40 including postage within USA, plus $10 for a ROM transfer, if required.
That said, be prepared for stiction or seized spindle problems. :-(
BTW, I am not associated with any supplier. |
