I have this hard drive that has everything I have ever done on it. Code, Animation, Old family pictures... etc. I plugged the wrong power cable into it for my external drive and fried the board. Its been over a year and the longer it sits the harder it will be to get a replacement. What should I do? Can you help me? I already bought 2 boards that were $50 EACH and neither one works. |

Thank you all so much for your replies. I email the websites owner ages ago. I just receive an email today with a link directing me to this forum! Thanks again for returning my email.
I will post pictures in the morning. I am a bit confused on which board is which but I think the original burnt board is back on the HDD because I didnt want to lose it. I need to get a torx to take the board off.
thanks again! |

I would be more then happy to trade someone for the board I need. You can have BOTH of the other working boards I've tried. |

If you have working PCB in your hand right now, you need to match the exactly PCB No. which was printed in the back side of your PCB and have some words "REV".
And then you need to do rom swap before your swap PCB.
That's all.

I wish people would stop trying to sell boards to me. I already bought 2 guaranteed to work! Neither did. Im not buying another. If someone sends me one I can send you money after I verify it works... OR I will send you both of the other 2 boards. |

I'm sure the PCB you purchased are working PCB, you have to get the adaptive info transfered, or you may have more damages than just the PCB...
Go buy the PCB with reprogramming service as a set. Or go with the one that you have to send the drive in to reprogram or to recover your data, then they will not sell you the PCB if the proble was something else....
If your data was available, they'll send you the list or to show you what they reocvered and if you need the data, then you'll pay them....

Well the board I bought makes the drive spin up so Im sure it will work. I need to know how to reprogram the board though. If anyone is interested in trading some money plus the 2 working boards thats great. One person here said they have the exact board I need in stock. The problem is its over $80 and I spent well over $100 already on boards that were promissed to work |

There is no one on this forum who has over 1000 posts.
I believe, I have more posts then any other member of this forum.
Reread my offer. _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |
