|
|
An incorrect external USB case power supply voltage has resulted in a dead hard drive. I am looking for someone with the same drive so I can do a logic board swap.
Model is WD1200JB-00EVA0
Date, 14 March 2004
DCM: HSBHCTJCH
Thanks. |

I contacted ultratec.co.uk, while they didn't have it available initially, they came back 2 days later & have found one.
However there is a very slight difference in the PCB number
My drive had a PCB number of:
2061-001179-000 dk
while the one ultratec found was:
2061-001179-000 dm
From peoples experience out there, is this close enough for the firmware to be the same?
I do have to say that Ultratec would have to be the best resource for someone looking for hard drive bits. Very helpful and very fast response. |

Hey,
did this end up working out for you? I have the exact same problem (same exact messed up pcb as well)
I just ordered one on ebay that just has the D (no K) I'm really crossing my fingers on this! |
