I got a dead drive with the last six years of my life in it. It spins up and the bios recognizes it (sort of)...Says that it is zero gigs and windows doesn't really get it right either.
Little white sticker says;
0000 001129 - 000 cd5 x w 1907 9vq2 8 00 07 44 0 2447
Don't know what any of that means, but hopefully I can find a match.
Thanks |

How do you find out the firmware? I just keep listing all the numbers tha I can find on the board. I have had someone else tell me that the little green numbers on the edge of the pcb board would let me know if I had the right board.
Let me know.
Also, have you already tried switching the board on the drive that you have? What results, if any, did you have?
Thanks, |

THe firmware is printed on the little white sticker. Not sure if you have to take the board off first.
I have not switched the board yet because i can not find another board. Do you know where i can find a hard drive? |

BTW, I got this one back on line and pulled everything off of it.
Does anyone need a drive like this anymore?
I will sell mine. |

I bought the PCB off ebay and as far as I can tell it was a perfect match. Same style board, the chips on teh board were slightly different markings, but in the same locations/layout.
My original board had
0000 001129 - 000 cd5 x w 1907 9vq2 8 00 07 44 0 2447 on the sticker
The new one
0000 001129 - 000 D x w 1908 yz83 8 00 08 09 0 3093
Old card on the PCB not sure, but I think these numbers matched exactly. (sorry, threw it away)
New card pcb
2060-001129-001
I bought the PCB (unseen, no photo) off of ebay. It did not come with a drive, just the board. I think I ended up paying $60 for just the board.
I noticed that the guy who had it also had several other boards, no drives, just boards. I think I have seen him linked to these formums before. |
