I'm looking for a Western Digital, 40 gig HD, model WD400BB-00DEA0. My version is from 2002 so I'd prefer to have that - I've seen 00DEA0's that were labelled 2005 and I don't know if that would work.
If anyone has a drive like this, OR knows if the 2005 would work as well, please let me know! Like everyone else here my data is vital to me |

what is the main problem with the hard drive is it just clicking away
allso underneath you need to know what the firmware is
white sticker
this hold all the information to be buying the right logic board
there is no point buying one that has the right date and dcm number
its all firmware linked |

I think I got ya covered. I just finished pulling all the info off my drive that croaked. It has this board on it. I was able to find a guy who had just the board. It worked for me. wd400bb - 00dea0.
It has some little numbers on the board that I was told were important 2060-001129-001
I'll give it to you $60 plus shipping.
Let me know. |
