Hello,

I need a replacement PCB for my lousy WD drive. Info is as follows:

Model: WD2500JB-00GVC0
Date: 15 Sep 2006
DCM: DSCHCT2AH
PCB: 2061-701265-200 AL

Also, while my overall PC knowledge is fairly high I am weak in the area of hard drives (particularly the PCBs). I keep reading that PCBs for swaps must be indentical because firmware and ROM chips and such "learn" the drive they are built with and so a PCB that is too different will not work and may cause further damage. I understand this. However, if I were to buy a new WD2500JB (as I see they are still available), and immediately swap PCBs without running the new drive, would it not "learn" my old drive or are there other issues that would prevent it from working? Just a thought...

If anyone has a match for the above listed card, please contact me at roc383@yahoo.com. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Jason
