Dennis,
I am not sure where you got those requirements for drive recovery.
Do you need a full drive or a PCB from a drive? _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |

My reply: My hard drive failed. I have since replaced it. But to recover the data from the old hard drive, I need to purchase an identical unit as the original hard drive - this is what the technician who is doing the data recovery told me. Hence, my requirements are as follows:
Manufacturer: Western Digital
Model Number: WD1600JS-40NGB2
Date of manufacture: 27 Feb 2006 (replacement must be within one month to be compatible
DCM Code: HSCANTJCA (note that the 5th & 6th positions must be a direct match for campatibility) _________________ Dennis Young

I am afraid you will spend endless time searching for exact match without success.
If you would specify what exactly you need a drive for, it would simplify things. Do you need a drive to match heads for head stack replacement or to replace PCB or to do a platter swap?
I am sure technician told you exact problem with your drive.
There is some basic requirements to do any of those operations, but exact match is not always necessary. _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |
