I have an internal ide drive that has been made external through an adapter. They both fell off the table last night. Now all the hard drive does is make beeping sounds and a whirring sound like a motor is trying to spin something, but theres no gear attached to it. It will do it 3 times then it will stop. It seems like it might be an easy fix but I have never taken a hard drive apart. Any suggestions?[/i] |

Don't take it apart.
Your case is very difficult.
If you need your data, take drives to a data recovery pro, if your data is not important, buy new drives. _________________ www.datarecoveryne.com |
