Mine died at the start of January, and i thought i had a PCB lined up, but the guy who was getting it disappeared.
There was another guy looking for an identical PCB on this forum, but he hasn't been responding to emails either.

Seems like a lot of people are having bad luck with this drive, and a lot of people are disappearing!

Hi Arkadas, thanks for the information. Recently I've found a guide to rescue the WD drives, I haven't tried it yet, if it doesn't work, I will buy the replacement PCB.

Hello,I have some health problems since few months so I recognize that you have send your money to me and you have got not respond. I explain now why this problem :

I'm depresive so some month ago i asked to my mother to help me but she doesn't speak English and she doesn't know how works my server. DAMN!!! I never saw this post! I sent this guy my PCB too and now my data is lost forever. He kept giving me his assurances that everything would be ok. DONT BUY FROM THIS GUY!!!! BAN HIM FROM THE FORUM!!!!!!!
