Maxtor harddrive's pcb got fried because of a short in the power molar...

model: 53073H4
code: jac61hu0

Bought replacement pcb for same model and same code.

Replaced pcb.

Drive now spins up but during bios does "click" "click" "click" (with pauses inbetween).

bios screen display seems to detect that it's a harddrive:
EG:
primary master: HDD
primary slave: HDD
secondary master: CDROM
secondary slave: HDD

Then BIOS goes to do the S.M.A.R.T detecting and displays something for primary master HDD, but then a long long pause and then bios stops booting with an error:

primary slave HDD failure.

If I ignore the error and boot into windows, windows doesn't see the HDD.

Help.
