Does anyone know if I can downgrade the fimware on a Seagate ST3120418A from 3.AAJ to 3.AAD, if so where can I get the firmware and utilities to do so? Thanks

Firmware upgrades/downgrades are not normally available for Seagate SATA/PATA drives. I have tried many times myself to get them directly from Seagate.
That said, you may find a firmware upgrade from OEM suppliers, such as Compaq/HP etc - BUT it may not be compatible with normal seagate drives.

Would a PCB board for a different model number but same FW revision work for my ST3250620AS 250gb barracuda drive?
