hello i have a wd2500bb-22guc0 and the pcb fried so i have been trying out differant ones from other wd drives and i got a 40gig one to make my drive go click click click and i tried ones from a 60 gig and it goes click click click and today i tried one from a 80 gig wd800bb-22fja1 and the drive spins up and the bios says its a 40gig drive but the drive is real slow so will the changing of the firmware chip off the wd2500bb pcb and onto the wd800bb pcb board fix that or what ? |

You'd better desolder the ROM from the Old PCB to the new one.
One point you must find : 22GCUO PCB, otherwise, this trick will not useful... |
