I have a WD 200GB JB series Hard drive I noticed that My system would boot it fine but all of a sudden It was showing No Drive Detected.
So naturally I Puled it and found a Common recurring problem with The controller Board the 12V+ Pin On the 4 prong Power Connector snapped off So needless to say i need a new Controller Board

If Anyone Has an Extra Board from this Or knows where I can get one I would Appreciate it
Western Digital Is sending me an advanced replacement WD2500JB Drive and told me to throw this One in the trash since they cant recertify it and resell it Seems like such a waste and my data remains on this drive and I dont use data recovery companies since they can see your sensitive data so i was hoping to just repair this one extract the data reformat it and keep it as a spare. |
