|

I have a Western Digital WD2000JB-00GVA0 drive that no longer works and I'm trying to recover the pictures on it. It was in an external drive case with the power turned off (but, unfortunately, it was still plugged in) when a lightning storm hit close to my house. When I took the PCB off I could see where one component had glued itself to the backing and the area around it was charred. I'm hoping that the information in the drive is still in tact.
The specifics of the drive are:
200 GB Western Digital Caviar Drive
Drive Parameters: LBA 390721968 200.0 GB
WD P/N: WD2000JB-00GVA0
S/N: WMALL1066990
MDL: WD2000JB-00GVA0
DATE: 09 OCT 2004
DCM: DSBACTJAA
PCB ID ON THE BOARD: 2060-001265-001 REV A
BAR CODED WHITE STRIP ON THE EDGE OF THE BOARD:
2061-001265-200 AD XW 1X24 RGYV 1 0004140 5144
BIG CHIP:
WD70C26 - GP
00-00 ST 2.1
AA3EJ 96
TWN 99 440
On the drive itself:
WESTERN DIGITAL
2063-001985-000
TB169PT
REV N
Any advice that I receive will be VERY welcomed!!
THANKS!!!

I have exact board. if your board just died then another board can help you. But you need put original rom chip to new board.
PS I can give you board for free. You need just pay for shipping.
