|
|
In desperate need of a logic board for my Hard Drive:
Make: Seagate
Model: ST3200822AS
Capacity: 200 GB
P/N: 9W2854-131
Firmware: 3.02
Data Code: 05445
Site Code: TK
Main Chip #: 100300216-83
Location: Ontario, Canada
Do you have the exact one?
I've found some similar ones on ebay with different P/N and firmware, but I'm not sure if they will work with what I got.
Thanks, |

First a big thanks to all the previous posts for helping me along the way. And another thanks to Eric Lee from HK MingDi electronics Co., Ltd. Through Eric I was able to get the logic board I needed in just a couple of days. Then I took my busted logic board to a local shop here in Toronto, Canada and got them to remove the bios chip from my old logic board and replace it with the bios chip from the new board. Then I took the new logic board (with my old bios chip) and swapped the boards and now I have a working hard drive.
I went to Canada Computers and bought a hard drive enclosure. I know that you can get them pretty cheap these days, but I decided to spend a bit of money and get an enclosure that can handle both 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives. Plugged everything into my desktop and there was my hard drive with all my data! Oh joy!!
If anyone needs referrals or more advice just pm me and I'm more than happy to help. |
