Can you describe the failure symptom?
If you upload a detailed photo, one of us may be able to help you repair your board, or at least confirm that the problem isn't elsewhere. |

The drive wouldn't spin up. Found that one of the ICs on the logic board had smoked and has a hole in it. |

A straight board swap probably won't work. You will need to move the NVRAM chip, or its contents, from patient to donor. This chip stores unique, drive specific information. If you upload a photo, one of us will identify the chip for you. |
