I have a hard drive with a bad circuit board, controller card (I've found a few names for it). When using the original board it does not power up (platters don't spin, no movement from the arm, nothing). I bought a new controller board, what I thought would be a close match (same model and firmware), and installed it on the drive. The drive now spins up, I hear the arm move but my system does not recognize it. Here's the info off of the sticker on the hard drive:

PATA Interface

160GB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7
Model: ST3160021A
S/N: 3JS22MW7
P/N: 9W2001-030
HDA P/N: 100275532
Config Level: 8SMA1
Config Code: D1H-02
Firmware: 3.06
Date Code: 04177
Site Code: AMK
HP CPC: 5187-2137
HP BPC: 320143-001
CT: 26824006CPGG7G

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Paying well if someone has an exact match.
Thanks!

Hi, Does you PCB have the 8pins BIOS rom chip? If so, swap it, then try it again.

Thanks
