What imaging / cloning method would you recommend? How can an image be taken of a drive if it gives I/O device errors ?

Hi all,

I have a 1Tb Mybook from WD (about 2008, SATA), the model number ending in EACS which I think many of you have or know of.

When doing a large copy (using linux!) of around 300GB of files ...
